12. HALLOWEEN....what does it MEEN?

The word Halloween is first attested in the 16th century and represents a Scottish variant of the fuller All-Hallows evening which is a night before hallows day, all hallows evening is not attested until 1556

It all started with the older time, during the season of halloween, children often got illed and died during that season in the old days, and they went trick or treating to ask people for money, but not for candy, because that time, so many people are too poor to go to the doctor or buy medicine for children's sickness.
